* .gitmodules: New file.
* README-alpha: Update.
* README-hacking: Update.
* bootstrap: Install slightly modified version from the gnulib repo.
* bootstrap.conf: Add paxutils-related stuff.

* doc/.gitignore: Update.
* po/.gitignore: Update.
